Dental Support - School of Dental Nursing has been providing dental nurse training for over 20 years and has an excellent track record, making us the training provider of choice for dentists recruiting dental nurses, and Dental Nurses looking for fulfilling career.

We provide courses accredited by both City & Guilds and the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) course and have also been recognised by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and General Dental Council (GDC).

All staff are highly qualified and experienced in both dental nursing and teaching and have experience of working in General and Private practices as well as Community and Hospital settings.

Our courses combine classroom teaching and work-based training and involves a variety of teaching and learning techniques intended to support you in gaining your qualification and acquiring a rewarding career.

Qualified Teacher, Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer with over 20 years teaching experience. Responsible for the running of courses provided by the Centre and for maintaining our high quality delivery and meeting legislative requirements.

Jemma Kaizik

Senior Tutor/Assessor

Qualified Teacher and Assessor with nearly 20 years teaching experience, taking full responsibility for the delivery of both the City & Guilds and NEBDN qualifications.

Nilusha Juwan Mandadige

Tutor / Assessor

Qualified Teacher and Assessor with more than 10 years teaching experience in delivering both City & Guilds and NEBDN pre and post qualification courses.

Janet Horton

Personal Assistant/Administrator

Personal Assistant to the Operations Director and Head Tutor/IQA taking responsibility for applications and enrolment of learners and all administration duties.

COURSES

CITY & GUILDS - LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN DENTAL NURSING

12 month face to face course leading to GDC registration. Learners attend for theoretical sessions in Centre and work in dental surgery to gain practical skills and for observations to be carried out whilst working working with the dentist during patients' dental treatment.

NEBDN - NATIONAL DIPLOMA FOR DENTAL NURSES

12 month online course, supplemented with additional classroom/webinar sessions to gain one-to-one advice and support every 6 weeks for assistance with RoE and exam preparation.

NEBDN - CERTIFICATE IN ORAL HEALTH EDUCATION

A 6 month self-directed online course supplemented, with two 2 hour Centre based / webinar sessions to obtain support and advice on completing the RoC and exam preparation.

NEBDN - CERTIFICATE IN DENTAL RADIOGRAPHY

A blended learning course consisting of 4 face to face sessions and 4 online sessions. Sessions are run once a month from 14:00 to 17:00 with online /webinar sessions provided to assist with completion of Record of Competence and preparation for the end of course examination.
